Brian P. "Pete" Roever, 41, of Marysville, Kansas passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 at his home. A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 21, at the United Methodist Church in Frankfort. The Rev. Phoebe Pitney officiated. Janet Plegge played the organ and Steve Gleason sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Why Me Lord." Brian was born on September 11, 1969 at Marysville, the son of Robert and Beverly (Woodard) Roever. He graduated from Marysville High School in 1988 and received his Associate Degree from Cloud County Community College in 1990. Brian helped in farming operations and enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid KU fan. Survivors include his parents, Robert and Beverly Roever, Frankfort; brother, Rob and wife Julie, Marysville; three nephews, Shane, Manhattan, Ian and Dalton, Marysville. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Dana; grandparents, Craig and Opal Woodard, Paul and Olive Roever. Memorials will be designated later and may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
