Ruth Klover, 93, of Marysville, died Friday, February 18, 2011 at Cambridge Place in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 21, at Immanuel Lutheran State Line Church north of Marysville. The Rev. Travis Panning officiated. Mary Lou Retchless played the organ and the congregation sang “Amazing Grace,” “Just A Closer Walk With Thee” and “Rock Of Ages.” The choir sang “Born Cry.” The pallbearers were Ryan Klover, Robin Klover, Kevin Blazer, Andrew Klover, Korey Klover, Travis Klover, Alex Pecenka and Andy Rombeck. Burial was in the church cemetery. Ruth was born on November 23, 1917 at rural Wymore, NE to Wilke H and Anna M, Saathoff. She graduated from Odell High School and took correspondence classes. Then attended Hebron College and Academy and the University of Nebraska to finish her teaching degree. Ruth taught at Pleasant View, Beatrice, Norton, Kansas and in Texas. She was united in marriage to Rudolf Klover. After her marriage she was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children. Ruth later became the activities director at Good Samaritan Home in Wymore and a Hospice Volunteer. She was a member of the 4-H church choir, Do Gooders Club, Extension Club and Women of the church. She enjoyed belonging to her card clubs and meeting friends for lunch at the Sunshine Inn. Ruth enjoyed her travels to Germany, Hawaii, Nova Scotia and many places in the U.S. Preceding Ruth in death were her parents; her husband in 1974; a sister, Verna Klover; a brother, Don Saathoff; grandson, Richard Klover; and great grandson, Brock Joseph Klover. Surviving her are sons, Douglas Klover (Sondra) of Marysville, Keith Klover (Kathy) of Wymore, Paul Klover (Carol) of Manhattan; and eight grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated by the family and a later time.
