Donald Slifer

Donald Slifer, 80 of Mesa, Arizona, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 in Mesa. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Padden Funeral Chapel in Frankfort. The Rev. Norma Jeane Miller officiate. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery southwest of Frankfort. He was born on September 6, 1930 the son of George and Gladys Slifer. On March 25, 1977 he married Sherrille. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joy; brother, Virgil; and granddaughter, Tiffany. Survivors include his daughters; Linda (Chuck) Williamson, Vicki (Kevin) Vaughan, Karrie Myer, Rebecca (William) Sampson, Patty (Charlie) Schuetz, Susan (Monty) Swanson and Mickey (Dave) Staley; sons, Bob (Lawren) Ludwig, Kermit Ludwig and Donald Slifer, Jr.; three brothers, Kenneth, Harold, and Verlin; nineteen grandchildren, Jamie, Jamie, Kyle, Riley, Tammie, Amy, Christopher, Maxwell, Bobby Jr., Jeff, Derek, Tyler, Andrew, Kendall, Kermit Jr., Chris, Mayo, Faith and Joshua; twelve great-grandchildren, Destiny, Trey, Isabella, Grant, Giovanni, Sophia, Aiden, Riley, Mayo Jr., Ada, Mallorye and Zoey.
