Derek B. Baynton, 24, of Marysville, Kansas died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at his home in Marysville. A Tribute Services was held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, June 12, at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. The Rev. Joel Barber officiated. Derek was born October 15, 1986 in Wichita, Kansas, the son of G. "Bill" and Shelley (Scott) Baynton. He had a brother, Daniel, and was a loving father to his daughter, Izzabella, and son, Gabriel. Derek was a friend to many people here in Kansas, Missouri and Florida. He has family in Kansas, Missouri, Florida, Louisana, Nevada, Georgia, South Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. In 2005, he graduated from high school in Missouri. In March 2009, he married Amanda Marina Robbins at Ocala, Florida. During the summer of 2010 they moved to Marysville. Derek worked at Sonic in Marysville and also was a substitute teacher. He was currently working as a Certified Nurses Aide at the Good Samaritan Home in Wymore, Nebraska. He had been taking some college classes and was getting ready to start taking classes at Manhattan Vo-Tech to become a surgical technician. Derek enjoyed playing golf, video games, motorcycles and fast cars. A memorial fund has been established for his children.
