Blanche Florence (Ring) Doyle, 93, of Marysville, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. A rosary service was held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marysville. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 2, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church. Father Jim Shaughnessy officiated. Bob Welch played the organ while the church choir sang “Amazing Grace”, “Ave Maria”, “On Eagles Wings”, “You Are Mine” and “How Great Thou Art”. The pallbearers were Joseph P. Nick, Richard G. Nick, Chris T. Nick, Justyn Carlson, Jared Carlson and Austin Carlson. Burial was in St. Gregory's Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors provided by American Legion Smnr Post 163. Blanche was born on July 21, 1917, on a farm near Marysville, Kansas, the daughter of Dominic and Lillian Emma (Schwindamann) Ring. She was the eighth of thirteen children. Blanche attended St. Gregory's Catholic School and graduated from Marysville High School. After graduation she taught school in Marshall County until enlisting in the Womens Army Corp (WAC) on May 18, 1943. She served her country in WWII along with one sister and four brothers. Upon her discharge she attended and graduated from Central Business College in Kansas City, Mo. On April 17, 1948 she married Ward M. Doyle of Lebanon, Mo., at Kansas City, Kan. They lived, worked and raised their children in Kansas City. Ward passed away on Nov. 8, 1992. Blanche moved back to Marysville in 1994 and has made her home here. Her hobbies included making afghans, rag rugs and sock monkies. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; eight brothers, Jacob, William, Francis, Raymond, Wilfird, Dominic, Leonard and Charles; and two sisters, Lillian Zawacki and Carolyn Barton. Survivors include her son, Chris (Vickie) Doyle, Council Bluffs, Iowa; daughter, Linda (Joe) Nick, Kansas City, Kan.; two sisters, Eleanor Grauer and Dorothy Martin, both of Marysville; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Memorials will be designated later and may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville.
