Eugenia "Jean" Mullen Ham, 88, of Marysville, Kansas, died Monday, September 19, 2011 at Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan, Kansas. A rosary service was held at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marysville. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 23, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church. Father Jim Shaughnessy officiated. Bob Welch played the organ while the church choir sang “Be Not Afraid”, “In the Garden”, “Prayer of St. Francis”, “Hail Mary, Gentle Woman” and “The King of Love My Shepherd Is”. Burial will be in St. Gregory's Catholic Cemetery. Eugenia was born on August 4, 1923 in rural Marysville, the daughter of Lawrence and Alice (Pacha) Mullen. In 1941 she graduated from Marysville High School. On October 23, 1945, she married Junior Charles Ham. She was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church and Altar Society. Survivors include her two sons, Richard Ham, Marysville, and Ronald Ham, Rogers, AR; daughter, Jane Weber, Ault, CO; sister, Connie Hamilton, Minneapolis, MN; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and ten of her eleven siblings. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Gregory's School Endowment Fund and can be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville.
