Sue T. Elliott

Sue T. Elliott, 96 of Long Beach, California, died October 7, 2011 at the Edgewater Hospital in Long Beach. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2011 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Council Grove, Kansas, with Rev. Norma Jean Miller of the Frankfort United Methodist Church officiating. Sue was born on May 27, 1915 at Dunlap, Kansas, the daughter of Fred M. and Icy (Lee) Curtis. She married Paul E. Elliott on August 9, 1939. Sue was an assistant to the Dean of Fine Arts at Long Beach State University from 1956 until 1982. She worked to promote funding for Cerebral Palsy prior to her Long Beach State employment. She is survived by her niece, Regina "Jeanne" Jones of Frankfort, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul in 1956, daughter Paula Sue Elliott in 2009 and a sister Vivian May Deaver. Padden Funeral Chapel of Frankfort is in charge of arrangements.
