Marjorie E. Link, 88, of Marysville, Kansas, died Friday, November 11, 2011 at Cambridge Place. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 16 at Kinsley Mortuary. Rev. Judy Scott will officiate. Deb Landoll will play the organ while Wayne Kruse sings “How Great Thou Art” and “Beyond the Sunset.” The pallbearers will be Jim Meyer, Rich Weber, Jon Schell, Ron Jacques, Josh Link and Marvin Bernasek. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Waterville. Marjorie was born on May 13, 1923 in Walnut Township, rural Marshall County, the daughter of Floyd and Florence (Iles) Ham. In 1941 she graduated from Marysville High School. On May 18, 1949 she married Lloyd Link at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Marysville. Marjorie worked at a grocery store for 47 years until retiring in 1998. She was very active in 4-H and enjoyed helping Lloyd on the farm herding cows and doing the milking. She played the saxophone in a band and enjoyed flowers and birds. In 1984 they moved into Marysville. Together, Marjorie and Lloyd traveled and visited 57 countries. Survivors include her husband, Lloyd; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Loyal Ham, J.R. Charles Ham, Leslie Ham and Gene Ham. A memorial fund has been established to Hospice. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
