Alphys L. Brucker

Alphys L. Brucker, 90, of Marysville, Kansas died Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Kinsley Mortuary. Gary Phillips officiated. Burial was in the Barneston Cemetery, Barneston, Nebraska. Alphys was born on January 30, 1921 near Oketo, Kansas, the son of Albert and Susan (Votroubek) Brucker. On December 31, 1950 he married Dorothy Waltke. She preceded him in death on January 16, 2007. Alphys was a life long farmer in the Oketo and Home City areas. Survivors include his daughter, Linda Padgett, Marysville; two grandchildren, Scott (Joy) Padgett, Marysville, and Renee' (James) Lyons, Kansas City, KS; four great-grandchildren, Kristofer Padgett, Shane Padgett, Trey Padgett and Drew Padgett; and sister, Arlouene Davis, Cheyenne, WY. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers, Charles, Hugo and Ralph; three sisters, Mildred Schwindt, Rosie Jefferies, and his twin sister, Alice Hilder; and granddaughter, Kimberley Padgett.
