Argyl W. Curell, 87, of Beattie, Kansas, died Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Frankfort Community Care Home in Frankfort, Kansas. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 9, at the Padden Funeral Chapel in Frankfort. Rev. Marilyn Sweet officiated. Jane Sedlacek played the organ and sang "In the Garden" and "How Great Thou Art". Burial was in the Frankfort City Cemetery in Frankfort. Argyl was born on April 18, 1924 in the Vermillion area. Here he farmed with horses. In later years he retired to Beattie, Kansas, where he helped out at Twin Valley and did other odd jobs in the community. He was also a member of the Methodist Church in Beattie. He entered the Frankfort Community Care Home in March of 2011. Survivors include his sisters, Dorothy Curell, Frankfort, and Thelma Clark, Avondale, AZ, and Margary Curell, Kansas City, KS; brother, Donald Curell, Sunfield, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Vernon; and sister, Arlene.
