Henry Francis Perry passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Stormont-Vail Regional Hospital due to multiple health complications. A rosary service was held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 28 at Annunciation Catholic Church, 213 E. 5th Street, Frankfort, KS 66427. Mass of Christian Burial was held following the rosary service at 10:30 a.m., Thursday at the church. Father Pat Sullivan officiated. The organist was Jeanie Gerstner. The pallbearers were Mick Perry, Ed Kohake, Alan Schreiner, David Ranallo, Keven Hayek and Jim Picolete. Henry was the eldest child born to Leroy Perry and Agnes Lierz Perry on July 17, 1931 in Bowling Green, Ohio. He lived in Ohio until the age of three and then moved with his parents to Frankfort, KS. Henry attended country schools and helped his grandparents with farming and his dad and brother with carpentry and the ice house. He then went to work for the City of Frankfort until his retirement. Henry was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Frankfort Fire Department. He was a passionate Catholic and spent much of his time devoted to praying the rosary. He was a very hard worker and always ready to lend a helping hand to his brother, sister, nieces, nephews or anyone in town who needed it. Henry loved to play cards and visit with family and friends and was an avid walker. He took great care of his mother until her death in 1989. Henry then moved to California & Texas for the next twenty years before returning to Topeka in 2009. He resided with his sister Mary & family until his health declined in 2010. He then moved to Plaza West nursing home. Survivors include brother-in-law Pete Desch and many nieces and nephews. Henry was preceded in death by his parents Leroy and Agnes Perry, brother Albert Perry, sister Mary Desch, sister-in-law Madeline Perry and nephew Joe Perry.
