David E. Jones

David E. Jones, 51, of Frankfort, KS, died September 15, 2012 at the Onaga Hospital. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 19, at the United Methodist Church, Frankfort. Rev. Norma Jean Miller officiated. Jane Sedlacek played the organ and sang “Angels Among Us” and “I Can Only Imagine.” The pallbearers were Eddie Dixon, Ed Black, Mike Farrell, Casey Jones, Larry Hicks and Kenny Jones. The honorary pallbearers were Lucas Jones, Wyatt Ledom, Devon Hoover and Dylan Hoover. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery. David was born October 6 1960, at Guyman, OK, to Robert and Shirley (Ellis) Jones. In 1978 he graduated from Frankfort High School. He worked as a general laborer loading trucks and worked at Keating Farms and the Frankfort Co-op. He most recently worked for L&P Palates. David liked woodworking, camping and other outdoor activities like fishing. On September 13, 1980, he married Karen Hillman and then again July 20, 1996. Into this marriage four children were born. On May 2, 2003 he married Edith Kiessling. Survivors include his wife, Edith, Frankfort; daughters, Christina Linn (James), Home, KS, and Melissa Ledom (Josh), Topeka; sons, William Jones ( Chantelle), Blue Rapids, and Matthew Jones, Frankfort; brothers, Steve Jones (Tammy), Frankfort, and Randy Jones (Kathi), Marysville; sister, Pamela (Robert) Schamberger, Collyer, KS; step-son, Doug Kiessling; and eight grandchildren.
