Aurelia M. Fuchs, 90, of Marysville, KS, died Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. A funeral service was at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 29 at Kinsley Mortuary. Rev. Dennis Holst officiated. Susan Moore was the organist and Alyssa Moore sang. The pallbearers were Alyssa Moore, Leland Moore, Nicholas Groves, Delbert Bartels, Roger Riekenberg and Wayne Warnsing. Burial was in the Zion - Mt. Calvary Lutheran Cemetery, Herkimer. Aurelia was born November 5, 1921 at Mission, South Dakota, daughter of Carl and Matilda (Niemann) Riekenberg. At a young age she moved with her family near Odell, NE. In 1940, she graduated from Odell High School. On February 22, 1944 she married Ernest Fuchs. They later divorced. She worked at the Grandview Cafe and T&C Cafe in Marysville. She enjoyed animals, making ceramics and puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harold Riekenberg; infant brother, August Riekenberg; infant sister, Rosa Riekenberg; and a grandson, Kenneth Frauhiger. Survivors include her daughter, Pamella Frauhiger; granddaughter, Susan (Leland) Moore; and one great-granddaughter, Alyssa Moore, all of Marysville. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated at a later date. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
