Carl E. Leinweber, 80, of Frankfort, KS, died Friday, November 9, 2012 at Mercy Regional Health Center, Manhattan. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 14, at the First Presbyterian Church, Frankfort. Carl Leinweber, Jr. was born on October 10, 1932 at Frankfort to Carl E. Sr. and Frances (Elliott) Leinweber. He attended rural schools and graduated from Frankfort High School in 1950. Carl went on to Kansas State University and graduated in 1955 with a degree in Animal Husbandry. He served with the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1957. Carl was a farmer and raised Angus cattle and registered quarter horses. Carl was united in marriage to Marily Myles on November 19, 1955 at Phjillipsburg, KS. She survives. Other survivors include son, John and (Cynthia Jones) of Gardner; granddaughters, Kerstee (Sean) Gibbons of Topeka, Carlee of Garnett, Chelsea of Pittsburg and Brielyn of Gardner; three great grandchildren, Piper, Gavin, and Logan; and one sister, Lois Rosander of Nisland, SD. Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Maxine Todd, Rasama Michelson, Dorothy Hix and Jean Hagarty; and a granddaughter, Meghan Leinweber.
