Kenneth D. Lacy, 80, of Marysville, KS, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, December 9, at Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville. Steve Moreau officiated. Josh Blumer played the guitar while Stephanie Blumer sang “Sanctuary.” Steve Moreau played the piano while Sarah Moreau, Garrett Knight and Judy Knight sang “Your Great Name.” Kenneth was born June 11, 1932 at Barnes, KS, son of Arthur Thomas and Golda Juanita (Arganbright) Lacy. In 1950, he graduated from Waterville High School and then attended Kansas State University. He worked in the defense industry for various companies such as Lockheed Martin, Dynalectron, Boeing and General Dynamics. He also was a police dispatcher, Equipment Services Manager for the City of Fort Worth, TX, and then started his own business in 1979, Ace Lawn Sprinklers. In 1999, he retired. After moving to Marysville he drove for Renzenberger, Inc. In 1964, he married Judith Anne Scheirmann. She preceded him in death in 1998. On June 19, 1999, he married JoAnn (Messick) Behrens, at Ft. Worth. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, going to garage sales and tinkering with things. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; son, Martin Keith Lacy; and brother, Warren Lacy. Survivors include, his wife, JoAnn Lacy, Marysville; children, Dianne (Steve) Moreau, Fort Worth, TX, Judi Knight, Killeen, TX, and Janet (William) July, Houston TX; grandchildren, Heather Williams, Michael Knight, Matt Knight, Dan Knight, Lane Atherton, Sarah Moreau, Lauren Moreau and Garrett Moreau; great-grandson, Harrison Knight; siblings, Ione (Keith) Andrews, Port Angeles, WA, Lorraine (Bill) Stout, Manhattan, KS, and Sandy Lacy, Nalcrest, FL; step children, Sandy Blumer, Marysville, and her children, Jessica, Josh, Caleb, Josh and Stephanie; and Michael Hasenkamp, Sr., Marysville, and his children, Michael, Jr., Jacob, Jacque, Amiyah and Ailihah; and Ron (Denise) McHugh, Oketo, KS; nine step grandchildren; and one step great-grandchild.
