Edd Zulek

Edd Zulek, 68, of Oketo, KS, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at his home. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. Rev. Dale Lewis officiated. Rev. Lewis sang "Hymn of Promise" and "How Great Thou Art". The pallbearers were John Prebyl Jr., Dale Prebyl, Doug Novotny, Eddie Lytle, Darrell Cook, John Cook, Eric Cook and Larry Novotny. Burial was in the Oketo Cemetery. Edd was born August 1, 1944 at Odell, NE, son of Joseph and Lorine Bures Zulek. He married Betty Buresh. He farmed near Oketo most of his life. Edd was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph; and wife, Betty J. Zulek. His sister, JoAnn Plankinton, Pine Bluffs, WY, survives. Kinsley Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
