Quentin R. McMillan, 91 of rural Home, Ks. died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Community Memorial Health Care in Marysville, Kansas. Visitation was on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at Kinsley Mortuary with Rev. Dale Lewis of the United Methodist Church of Marysville officiating Burial was private at the Marysville City Cemetery. Quentin was born on April 14, 1921 at Marysville, Kansas the son of John and Juanita Riley McMillan. He graduated from Marysville High School in 1938. Quentin enjoyed dancing, sports cars and sprint car racing. He attended the sprint car nationial championships in Knoxville, Iowa for 42 years in a row. He wintered in Texas since 1979 and farmed most of his life near Home, Ks. He is survived by his son, Kurt (Teresa) McMillan of Home, Ks. and grandchildren, Eric, Nicholas, Cameron, and Bailey; sister, Victoria Chapman of Kansas City, Ks.; nephew, Joel Chapman and special friend Dolores Krug of Marysville. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jack, and his wife, Barbara, and great grandson, Owen. Memorial fund has been established the will go to the Food Pantry.
