Mitchell Lee McClung

Mitchell Lee McClung, 51, of Salina, KS, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville, following an extended illness. Visitation will be Monday, March 18, from noon until 6 p.m., at Kinsley Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Private family services will be held at a later date. Mitchell was born July 3, 1961 in Los Angeles, CA, son of Jimmy Lee McClung and Dallas (Tidwell) McClung. Following his tour of duty with the U.S. Army in Korea, he worked with civilian contractors for the U.S. Military in Kuwait and Ft. Riley, KS. Survivors include his mother, Dallas Whitlinger of Marysville; son Nick McClung and wife, Stephanie and son, Jakobe of Marysville; daughter, Jennifer Yaeger and children, Donavin and Bryce McClung of Marysville; significant other, Desiree Davenport and son, Damian of Salina; sister, Tami Antoine and husband Mark of Marysville; and step-mother, Linda McClung of Manhattan. Mitch was preceded in death by his father. A memorial fund has been established. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
