Regina Estes, 72, of Marysville died Friday, March 22, 2013 at Community Memorial Healthcare. A funeral service was at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 27 at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marysville. Rev. Jim Shaughnessy officiated. Bob Welch played the organ while Wayne Kruse sang "Amazing Grace" and "Wind Beneath My Wings." The pallbearers were Tim Rockwell, Jim Baustert, Phillip Lockhart, Bobby Hester, Travis Roudybush and Jason Rosenberger. Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery. Regina was born May 9, 1940 at Marysville, daughter of Otto and Alma (Dalrymple) Polzar. She graduated from Frankfort High School in 1958. On November 1, 1958 she married Donald Estes. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino and rock and roll music. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and Fraternal Order of Eagles International. Survivors include one daughter, Susan Smith, Hanover; two sons, Rex and Brian Estes, both of Marysville; brother, John Polzar, Topeka, KS; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and great-grandchild, Aaron. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated at a later date.
