Clara M. Jeffries

Clara M. Jeffries, 80, of Blue Rapids, Kansas, died Friday morning, April 5, 2013 at Blue Valley Senior Living in Blue Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, April 8, 2013 at the Padden Funeral Chapel in Frankfort, Ks. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to funeral services. Burial will be in the Frankfort City Cemetery. Clara was born on December 21, 1932 at Bushnell, Nebraska, the daughter of Chauncey and Mary Craig Dowd. She worked for the Pancake House in Marysvillle and as a nurses aid for Mary Marshall Manor. She liked to go fishing, hunt mushrooms and read Louis L'amour western books. In 1961 she married Ronald Jeffries at Westmoreland. She is survived by her husband Ronald of Blue Rapids, daughter Sue Hula of Blue Rapids, two sons Bobby Jeffries of Frankfort and Wayne Imel of Home, Kansas. four sisters Betty Dowd of Frankfort, Kathy Dowd of Frankfort Sharon Singleton of Centralia, and Shirley Smith of Topeka, Brother, John Henry Dowd of Holton.
