Lesli A. Schell, 48, of Marysville, KS, died unexpectedly Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Wichita, KS. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 11, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Marysville. Father Jim Shaughnessy officiated. Cindy Voet played the organ and Paula Landoll-Smith was the Cantor. Music was “Be Not Afraid”, “Amazing Grace”, “On Eagles Wings”, “You Are Mine” and “Fire and Rain.” The pallbearers were Chris Millenbruch, David Lord, Daniel Schell, Tim Spickard, Kevin Meyer and Barry Studer. Burial was in the church cemetery Lesli was born May 14, 1964 at Marysville, to Dennis L. and Wilma J. (Gerdes) Schell. She was a lifelong member of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed watching The Price is Right and soap operas on television. Lesli liked to go fishing, go rat and snake hunting with her friend Rhonda, go country crusin’ with Craig and her dogs, and being with family. She enjoyed spending time with the MasTec Crew and Facebook. Lesli was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She always had something witty to say to everyone. Survivors include her father, Dennis (Pam) Schell, Marysville; special friend, Craig Koutsky, Arkansas City, KS; children, Jacki Schell and Brandon Schell, both of Marysville; siblings, Jon Schell, Lisa (Tom) Nolan, her twin sister, Lauri Schell, all of Marysville, Linda Tiers, Fostoria, and Jana (Paul) Strunk, Manhattan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Wilma; and nephew, Jason Stroemer. A memorial fund has been established in her name and will be designated later.
