Ruthann Minge

Ruthann Minge, 60, of Hanover, KS, died Monday, April 15, 2013 from an automobile accident. A funeral service was at 2:30 p.m., Friday, April 19, at Immanuel Lutheran (Hermansberg), Bremen, KS. Rev. Jack Kirk officiated. Kathy Pralle was organist and played the congregational hymns, "Beautiful Savior", "Abide With Me", "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art." Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lyle Stohs, Shawn Minge, David Roever, Wayne Crome, Steve Rombeck and Randy Hiesterman. Ruthann was born September 8, 1952 to Alfred and Clara (Hiesterman) Stohs. She attended Barnes Grade School, and graduated from Linn High School in 1970. Ruthann went to Brown Mackie School at Salina and after graduation, she worked at the Kansas State Administration Office until going to work at the Washington County Extension office. On January 4, 1975, Ruthann was married to Dennis Minge at St. Peters Lutheran Church, Barnes. They were blessed with three boys, Darrin, Dustin and Dane. Ruthann loved working at the Extension Office and visiting with the 4H children. She enjoyed her garden, pets and working on outside projects. She was active with teaching Sunday school and many civic events. Ruthann loved baking, cake decorating, and planning meals. She was always organized and prepared with food, drinks, and anything you could want. Ruthann loved family events and getting together whenever they could. She was a kind, caring, wonderful person who was loved by many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Clara Stohs; in-laws, Ferd and Velma Minge; and sister-in-law, Sharon Moore. Survivors include her husband, Dennis; sons, Darrin, Dustin and wife Stacy, Dane and friend Ali Voet; brother, Ken Stohs and wife Jeanne; and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed. A memorial fund has been established in her name and will be designated by the family later. Contributions may be sent in care of Hanover Mortuary, Hanover, KS.
