Tallulah A. Frerking Boettcher, 79, of Marysville, KS, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. Visitation was Sunday, May 5, noon until 6 p.m., at Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville. A graveside funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 6, at the Marysville City Cemetery. Gary Phillips officiated. Tallulah was born April 19, 1934 at Marysville, daughter of William and Anna (Bartels) Frerking. She attended school in Marysville and graduated from Marysville High School in 1952. On September 19, 1957 she married Floyd Boettcher at Hanover, KS. He preceded her in death on November 19, 1999. Tallulah worked at OK Rubber Welders and later owned and operated The Handy Book Bindery for many years. She also was an antique dealer. She enjoyed reading, antiquing and finding bargains. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Marion and Frank Frerking. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Norma Hirt, Waterville, KS; nieces, Shari (Mike) Poole and Ann (Jess) Gehin, both of Knoxville, TN, and great-nephews, Spencer Gehin and Devin Poole, both of Knoxville, TN. A memorial fund has been established to Habitat for Humanity. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
