"Moose" Dale Musil, 62, of Marysville, KS, died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 7, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, at the Evangelical United Church of Christ, Maryville. Rev. Judy Scott officiated. Deb Landoll will play the organ while Wayne Kruse sings “Amazing Grace” and “You Walk With Me.” The pallbearers will be Mike Lister, Matt Musil, Ryan Gleue, Zach Stade, Justin Musil and Nathan Musil. The honorary pallbearers will be Francis Taphorn, Roger Miller and Bob Montague. Moose was born January 8, 1951 at Marysville, son of George and Nina (McKee) Musil. In 1969, he graduated from Marysville High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1976. On June 14, 1980, he married Joleen Nemachek at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Blue Rapids. Moose was a self-employed Tradesman. Survivors include his wife Joleen; children, Justin, Nate, Matt, Stephanie and Melissa, all of Marysville; brothers, Doug (Sheila) Musil, Eskridge, KS, and David (Mary) Musil, of Salina, KS; sister-in-law, Becky Musil, Home, KS; and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Wayne. A memorial fund has been established to the Marshall County Veterans Memorial. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
