Dana Joy Muleski, 52, of Bremen, died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. Visitation was Sunday, May 19, from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m., at Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville. A funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Monday, May 20, at Immanuel Lutheran Church (Hermansberg), Bremen. Rev. Jack Kirk officiated. Kathy Pralle played the organ while the congregation sang “O Holy Spirit, Grant Us Grace”, “What a Friend We Have In Jesus” and “Amazing Grace.” The pallbearers were Gene Stohs, Andrew Myers, Brian Kruse, Kent Duensing, Curtis Richardson and Wayne Luedders. Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Dana was born February 6, 1961, at Marysville, daughter of Eldor I. and Velma F. (Lohse) Duensing. On February 19, 1961, she was baptized and in 1975 confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from Marysville High School in 1979. In 1984, she graduated from Concordia College, Seward, NE. After graduation she taught high school religion and English at Cleveland Lutheran High School, Cleveland, OH. On July 20, 1985, she married Steven B. Muleski at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bremen. They moved to Yorktown, VA, where she taught English to Japanese Executives and in Groton, CT, she was a technical writer for the supervisor of ship building. After returning to Kansas in 2003, Dana worked as an abstract writer at Marshall County Abstract with her best friend, Patty Holle. Dana was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Lutheran Women Missionary League where she served as zone president. She enjoyed reading and gardening. Survivors include her husband, Steven; parents, Eldor and Velma Duensing, Bremen; sons, Stanley Muleski, Greenleaf, KS, Bradley Muleski, Pittsburg, KS, and Mark Muleski, Lawrence, KS; brother, Don Duensing, Hoffman, IL; and sister, Shelly Myers, Topeka, KS. A memorial fund has been established. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
