Florine K. Beran

Florine Katherine Beran, 92, of Albuquerque, NM, and formerly of Marysville, KS, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Albuquerque, NM. Visitation is Monday, July 22, from noon until 9 p.m., at Kinsley Mortuary. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., July 23, at Kinsley Mortuary. Deb Landoll will play the organ while Pat Breeding sings “Amazing Grace” and “Beyond the Sunset.” The pallbearers will be Dale Beran, Dan Beran, Roger Beran, Kevin Beran, John Hunninghake and Ryan Hunninghake. Burial will be in the Czech National Cemetery, Odell, NE. Florine was born April 26, 1921, at Grand Island, NE, to Louie and Christina (Klier) Preisendorf. She was united in marriage to Ivan D Beran on October 3, 1948. Ivan’s career required frequent changes in residence which Florine supported. She was also active in community service work and her family as a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Her loving concern for her children and grandchildren are remembered as her greatest gift which will survive her and is cherished by those closest to her. Florine moved to Albuquerque, NM in May 2010 and lived independently as a homemaker, business woman and grandmother. She was engaged in crafts until her passing including knitting; which she knitted four stocking caps for her grandchildren immediately before her passing. She enjoyed homemaking responsibilities while living independently in Albuquerque and gardening, crafts, knitting and frequently enjoyed “investing” her monies in the Casinos. Florine was preceded by her husband, Ivan D. Beran, who passed away on June 24, 2003 in Marysville, KS. She is survived by her two children, Stephen Beran, residing in Albuquerque, NM, and her daughter, Sheila Beran-Parker, residing in Phoenix, AZ.
