Marceta Gail Johnson, 74, of Holton, formerly of Frankfort, died April 15, 2008, at Wichita, KS. Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 21, 2008, at Padden Funeral Chapel in Frankfort. The Rev. Darin Mabe officiated. The organist was Phillip Sallee. Songs were “Power in the Blood”, “Ain’t No Grave” and “I’ll Fly Away.” Pallbearers were Dustin Gouge, Daniel Wimberly, Stan Thompson and Shane Thompson. Burial was in the Frankfort City Cemetery. Visitation was 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 20, and one hour before the funeral service at Padden Funeral Chapel. Marceta Johnson was born Jan. 3, 1934, at Frankfort, the daughter of Dixon Dean and Dorothy Carpenter Cullimore. She attended school in Frankfort, Topeka and Washington. She graduated from Frankfort High School in 1952. She married Winton “Shorty” Johnson on April 5, 1954. They lived in Kansas City, Mo., Frankfort and Holton. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for her husband’s diesel service in Holton. She especially enjoyed the arrival of her great-grandchildren triplets. Survivors include her mother, Dorothy, Holton, now of Wichita; daughter, Brenda Gouge, Wichita; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.
