Martha Anna Caroline Kruse, 97, Hanover, died Tuesday March 11, 2008, at Cambridge Place in Marysville. A service was at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hanover. The Rev. Rodney Fritz officiated. Organist Arlyce Klipp played “Let Us Ever Walk With Jesus” and “I’m But a Stranger Here.” She played as the choir sang “Oh Jesus Grant Me Hope and Comfort” and “Amazing Grace.” Pallbearers were Matthew Kruse, Steven Kruse, Jered Kruse, Darrell Kruse, Jeff Kruse, Bryan Kruse and David Prell. Honorary pallbearers were Kris Welborn, Cheryl Zret, Kathy Freeman, Angie Scheele, Vicky Ziegler, Colleen Voet and Lisa Kruse. Burial was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Martha Kruse was born Dec. 21, 1910, the daughter of Wilhelm and Adolphine Meyer Klipp on the family farm at Hanover. She married Alfons Kruse on June 5, 1935, at Trinity Church. She was a member of Trinity, the Ladies’ Aid Society, LWML and sang in the choir. She enjoyed quilting and sharing what she had with visitors. Survivors include her children, Delmer Kruse, Eudora, Velora Prell, Oketo, Waldo Kruse, Hanover, and Kenneth Kruse, Hanover; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Paul, who died in infancy; her sisters, Elise Meyer and Wilhilmina Schramm; and her brothers, Henry Klipp and William Klipp. To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Martha Anna Caroline Kruse, please visit our flower store.
