Mabel J. Fetterman

Mabel J. Fetterman, 99, of Frankfort, KS, died Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Frankfort Community Care Home. A graveside service was held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 10, at the Frankfort City Cemetery. Gary Phillips officiated. Mabel was born March 15, 1914 at Bigelow, KS, daughter of Ira and Salome (Coxley) Ewing. She graduated from Frankfort High School in 1931. She became a Registered Nurse and then worked as a secretary for Standard Oil in California and Denver, CO. After retiring she moved to Agra, KS, and later to Vero Beach, FL. Mabel was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing the organ, whistling, babies and animals. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Frank Ewing, Nellie Duncan, Ray Ewing, Forrest Ewing, Dean Ewing and Mary Mleynek. Survivors include her brother, Eldon Ewing, Frankfort; and many nieces and nephews. Padden Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
