Miss Rozella M. Regan

Miss Rozella Marie Regan, 93, of Frankfort, KS, died Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the Frankfort Community Care Home where she had been a resident for the past eight years. A rosary service was held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 20, at Annunciation Catholic Church in Frankfort. Mass of Christian Burial followed at 10:30 a.m. Father Pat Sullivan officiated. The honorary pallbearers were Alan Jones, Charles Kelliher, Charles Wendling, Earl Lauer, Jerry Stowell and Dr. Tim Minges, MD. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Frankfort. Miss Regan was born on July 26, 1920, at Effingham, KS, the daughter of James P. and Theresa M. (Mechsner) Regan. She graduated from Frankfort High School in 1938. She worked in business positions at Frankfort, Marysville, Garden City and Topeka, KS, and in Lincoln, NE. Rozella was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church, Altar Society, 50 year past member of Topeka Daughters of Isabella, past member Frankfort Friendship Card Club and former member of Frankfort AARP Chapter. Survivors include her sister, Sister Genitha Regan, SCL, Leavenworth, KS; six nephews, Gerald (Angela) Kennedy, Andover, KS, Thomas (Julmary) Regan, Denver, CO, Michael (Chris) Regan, and Timothy Regan, Shawn (Jenise) Regan, all of Garden City, KS, and James B. (Nadia Zhiri) Regan, Lawrence, KS; five nieces, Noreen Kennedy Heiss, Littleton, CO, Kathleen (Larry) Regan Scheuchzer, Mary Regan, and Ann (Kent) Regan Pottorf, all of Garden City, KS, and Colleen (Ron) Regan Steck, Naperville, IL; great-nephews, great-nieces and cousins. Rozella was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Aloysius (Pearl Johnson) Regan and Leo Regan; two sisters, Cecilia (James W.) Kennedy and Geraldine Regan; two nephews, Patrick Regan and Kevin Regan; and a nephew-in-law, Robert Heiss. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rozella M. Regan Memorial or donor's choice.
