Dora Jones, 96, of Marysville, KS, died October 13, 2013 at Cambridge Place in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 19, at the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Marysville. Rev. Marilyn Sweet officiated. Carol O'Neal played the organ while Pat Breeding sang "Angels Among Us", "You'll Be There" and "Amazing Grace." The pallbearers were Nick Jones, Don Jones, Chad Rhodes, Carl Jones, Tim Jones and Steve Cohorst. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery, southwest of Frankfort, KS. Dora was born October 28, 1916, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. King. In May 1940, she married Charles F. Jones at Washington, KS. They lived in San Antonio, TX, Irving, KS, Frankfort, KS, and moved to Marysville after retiring in 1978. She graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Vocational Home Economics. She taught school at Vermillion, Frankfort, Harbaugh, Bigelow, Waterville and a rural school near Beattie. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Garden Club, Kat Backers, RSVP, Shrine, Eastern Star and Moose. Survivors include her daughter, Sandy (Jim) Keller, Marysville; daughter-in-law, LeAnn Jones, Seneca, KS; twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; son, Steve Jones; and great grandson, Noah Jones. Kinsley Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
