Betty L. Feldhausen, 76, of Marysville, Kansas, died Friday, November 8, 2013 at Cambridge Place in Marysville. Visitation was Sunday, November 10, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., at Kinsley Mortuary. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 11, at the United Methodist Church in Marysville. Rev. Dale Lewis officiated. Gail Gilkerson played the organ while Wayne Kruse sang “One Day at a Time”, “How Great Thou Art” and “Railway to Heaven”. The pallbearers were Darrin Figge, Doug Gurtler, Alan Feldhausen, Ron Feldhausen, Kenneth Feldhausen and Duane Anderson. Burial was in the Frankfort City Cemetery. Betty was born on November 25, 1936, at Axtell, Kansas to Walter P. and Grace Baker Gurtler. She graduated from Beattie High school in 1954. Betty married George Feldhausen April 27, 1958 at the Axtell, Kansas Methodist Church. They lived in Topeka, Frankfort, and Marysville. Betty enjoyed bowling, traveling all 50 states, playing cards, and dancing. She worked at Hallmark, Blue Cross Blue Shield in Topeka, KNDY, and City Sewing. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Women of the Moose. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Glen Gurtler. Survivors include her husband, George Feldhausen, Marysville; son, Dan (Fran) Feldhausen, Marysville; daughter, Deb (Ron) Loges, Marysville; grandchildren, Ryan Feldhausen, Lisa (Brian) Price, and Stacie (Jim) Ellenbecker; great-grandchildren, Madalyn and Joe Ellenbecker; sister, Ruth Ann Flin, Mesa, AZ.; and sister-in-law, Caryl Gurtler, Casper, WY.
