Mary Elaine Rogers

Mary Elaine Rogers, 63, Frankfort, KS, died December 5, 2013 at Mercy Regional Health Center, Manhattan, KS, after a yearlong battle with cancer. A funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 12 at Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville. Burial will be private. Mary was born on June 22, 1950 to Leroy and Leona (Behrens) Outhet at Marysville. She attended Marysville High School and was a member of the Oketo Methodist Church. She worked for Koehler Taxes and Accounting before her health caused her to retire, eight years ago. Mary enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with her family. Mary married Roger D. Middleton on August 8, 1967. They later divorced. She married Rex Rogers on December 12, 1998 at Frankfort. He survives. Other survivors include her father, Leroy, Frankfort; sons, Roger (Rachel) Middleton, Beattie, Doug (Kathy) Rogers, Frankfort, Eric (Sandi) Rogers, Waterloo, IL; daughter, Shannon (Phil) Bigham, Anchorage, AK; sister June (Mike) Kieffer, Marysville; brother Steve (Lou) Outhet, Liberty, NE; thirteen grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Preceding her in death was her mother, Leona; son, Joshua Middleton; and great granddaughter, Riley Bigham. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later by the family.
