Ralph E. Disney, 82, Frankfort, died Monday, June 9, 2008, at his home. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 13, 2008, at the United Methodist Church in Frankfort. The Rev. Gail Danley officiated. Music included “Daddy’s Hands”, “One More Day” and “Father’s Eyes”. Pallbearers were John Javier, Mike Duncan, Bob Charles, James Dumas, Jay Johnson, Ken Jones, Louis Schomaker and Marty West. Joseph Disney served as a honorary pallbearer. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Waterville. Visitation was 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Padden Funeral Chapel. The family received friends from 6 till 8 p.m. Ralph Disney was born Jan. 13, 1926, at Topeka, the son of Joseph and Vada Donelson Disney. He moved to Benkelman, Neb. In seventh grade, he quit school to work on his parents’ farm. He worked for the railroad, on construction and for grain harvesters. He worked for a TV repair business in Frankfort. He married Mary Alice Bagg in 1970. He owned Ralph’s TV repair. He enjoyed weather observation and was a tornado spotter, was a Ham radio operator. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage and picking up cans in his golf cart. Survivors include his wife; one son, Joseph, Beattie; three daughters, Janet Hosfelt, Wamego, Jennifer Disney, Wamego, and Jane Elam, Hickman, Calif.; three brothers, Lavern Disney, Grand Prairie, Texas, Lenard Disney, Indianapolis, Norman Disney, Elma, Wash.; one sister, Sarah Baker, Buena Vista, Colo.; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, E. T. Donelson; stepmother, Josephine Disney; his sisters, Florence Ferry and Faye Dreasher; and a daughter, Judy A. Wilson.
