Hubert Kroeger, 88, Marysville, died Sunday, June 15, 2008. A service was at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, Marysville. The Rev. George Bertels officiated. Organist was Cindy Voet. Paula Landoll-Smith sang “Here I Am Lord”, “On Eagle’s Wings”, “You Are Mine” and “Lead Me Lord.” Burial was in the church cemetery. A rosary was at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Hubert Kroeger was born Oct. 12, 1919, at Dinklage, Germany, to Franz and Anna Bokmann Kroeger. He came to the U.S. from Germany in March 1952 to farm in Marshall County. He married Hedwig Dwerlkotte. He enjoyed woodworking, clock making and gardening. Survivors include his wife; sons, Francis, Home City, and Joe, Marysville; and daughters, Heddy Mahoney, Dorrance, and Anna Haffner, Junction City. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Gregory’s School and sent in care of the mortuary.
