Wanda Wullschleger, 75, of Prairie Village, Kan., died Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Shawnee Mission, Kan.Visitation was Monday, March 10, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m.A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Kinsley Mortuary. The Rev. Marilyn Sweet will officiate.Jane Sedlacek played the organ while Pat Breeding sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace". Rev. Marilyn Sweet and Marty Rosa sang “Just a Closer Walk with Thee”.The pallbearers were Dan Wullschleger, Chuck Wullschleger, Arlin Krebs, Allen "Buck" Schwarz, John Fitzgerald and Galen Walters.The honorary pallbearers were Tom Rogers, Nick Wullschleger, Duke Schramm, Brian Wullschleger, James Shaughnessy and Mark Wullschleger.Burial was in Home City Cemetery, north of Home, Kan.Wanda was born September 20, 1938 at Home, Kan., daughter of Oscar and Edna (Krebs) Schwarz. In 1956 she graduated from Marysville High School and then went to Kansas City, MO, to work for her dad. She then worked for Winstead's on the Plaza in Kansas City for 34 years. She worked there with her dear friend Deanie Wilson, whom she knew for 60 years.On September 1, 1967 she married Larry Wullschleger at Kansas City, MO.She enjoyed fishing weekends and throughout the summer. She once caught a 40 lb. flat head that almost pulled her into the river.In 2011, she was diagnosed with Parkinson's.She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband; brother, Gerald Schwarz, Raytown, MO; and nieces and nephews.
