David Lee Ferris

David Lee Ferris, 57, of Scranton, Kan., formerly of Marysville, Kan., died Monday, March 24, 2014 at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.Visitation was Wednesday, April 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville.David was born on January 27, 1957 at Topeka, Kan., son of Elbert and Margaret (Stewart) Ferris.  He lived in Marysville for a number of years, working at Landoll Corporation as a welder.  He served in the U.S. Navy.He is survived by his father, Elbert Ferris of Scranton, Kan.; son, Joe (Mindy) Ferris of Frankfort, Kan.; three brothers, Michael Ferris and Paul Lester of Scranton, and Melvin Lester of Topeka; and a sister-in-law, Cherie Ferris of Marysville.David was preceded in death by his mother; wife, Iris; son, Waylin, in 2006; and four brothers, Carl Lester, Ray Lester, Lonnie Lester and Glenn Ferris.
