Jeffrey S. Jacques, 51, of Marysville, Kan., died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at his home.A funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 12, at the First Christian Church in Marysville.  The Rev. Jerry Zanker officiated.  Eulogies were given by Gary Phillips and Bill Murtagh.  The scripture reading was by Andrea Jacques and the tribute was given by Darren Jacques.Jane Sedlacek was the organist and vocalist.  Music included "Amazing Grace", "In the Garden", "O Loving God", "I Can Only Imagine" and "Time for Me to Fly".Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery.Jeffrey was born October 19, 1962, at Marysville, son of Ronald and Connie (Freeby) Jacques.  In 1980, he graduated from Marysville High School and then attended Kansas State University.He worked many years for KNDY, owned and operated the Mixer Liquor Store and worked at the American Legion, all in Marysville.Jeff enjoyed listening to music and watching movies, participating in Marysville Area Community Theatre, visiting with friends and especially spending time with family and playing with his two nieces.He was a member of the First Christian Church and Marysville Area Community Theatre.Survivors include his parents, Ronald and Connie Jacques, Marysville; brother, Darren (Julie) Jacques and their children, Andrea and Alicia, Topeka, Kan.A memorial fund has been established to the First Christian Church, Marysville Union Pacific Depot Preservation Society or Marysville Area Community Theatre.  Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
