Michael E. Gregory, 66, Marysville, KS, died April 8, 2014 at Creighton Hospital in Omaha, NE.Visitation was Monday, April 14, from 10 a.m to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary.  The family received friends from 5 to 8 p.m.A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 15 at the American Legion Post #163, Marysville.  The officiants were Pastor Jim Stark, Pastor Michael Lazio and Pastor Richard Mullen.  The tribute was given by Lance Sublett.Music included "Worthy is the Lamb", "Amazed" and "The More I Seek You".The pallbearers were Craig Gregory, Thomas Gregory, Morgan Foster, Darren Wagner, Shane Bishop, Ron Scheller, Gary West and Dan Feldhausen.The honorary pallbearers were the Christian Motorcycle Assn., American Legion Riders and the Blackhawk Motorcycle Club.Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery. Michael was born on May 23, 1947 to Ike and Barbara (Boyd) Gregory at Kansas City, MO. In 1965, he graduated from high school at Butler, MO. He spent three years in the U.S. Air Force. In 1972, he was united in marriage to Sherry Foster in Oklahoma. They lived in Colorado, Kansas City and Marysville. Michael was an engineer with Union Pacific Railroad from 1977 until 1993 when he became Manager of Operating Practices and trained engineers from 1993 to 2008. Prior to that, he was with Kansas City Southern Railroad. Michael was a member of the American Legion and served on the board. He belonged to the Blackhawk Motorcycle Club, American Legion Riders and Union Pacific Old Timers. He helped organize the Christian Motorcycle Association and participated in the Marysville Autofest. He served on the Marysville City Council for fifteen years. He was active in his church, In The Crossing, and a member of Gideon. Proceeding him in death was his father, Ike Gregory, in 1993; and son, Jon Gregory, in 1991. Survivors include his wife, Sherry; mother, Barbara Gregory, Colorado Springs, CO; and brother, Craig (Rose) Gregory, Walnut, IA.A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.  Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
