Ruth M. Bauer

Ruth Marie (Holle) Bauer, 87, died July 29, 2008, at Cambridge Place in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 8, 2008, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Marysville. The Rev. Donnie Hofman officiated. Carol O'Neal played the organ while the congregation sang "How Great Thou Art", "Amazing Grace" and "Now Thank We All Our God". Pallbearer were Rev. Donnie Hofman, Bud Schuette, Tom Schoenberger, Richard Claeys, Merle Holle and Fritz Blaske. Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery. Ruth was born April 19, 1921, at Marysville, KS, the daughter of Louis and Clara (Krueger) Holle of Herkimer. She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church, Herkimer, and later confirmed there on April 14, 1935. Her confirmation verse was Matthew 6:33. Ruth was married to Leonard S. Gray in Wichita in 1942. Mr. Gray died of pneumonia nine months later. On April 9, 1950, Ruth was united in marriage to Herbert F. Bauer at Zion, Herkimer. He died on June 22, 2005.
