Robin Kelley, 51, Hanover, KS, died Saturday, July 19, 2014 at her home. Visitation was Tuesday, July 22, from noon to 8 p.m. at the Hanover Mortuary. A funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 23 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hanover. Pastor Judy Hill officiated. Mae Nieman played the organ while the congregation sang “Amazing Grace”, “What a Friend We have in Jesus” and “Beautiful Savior.” The pallbearers were Travis Kelley, Daniel Kelley, Tommy Meyn, Tad Waddington, Johnny Rodriguez and George Kelley. Burial was in the Hanover City Cemetery. Robin was born on June 21, 1963 to Oscar and Joan (Harrell) Meyn at Marysville, KS. She graduated from Hanover High School. She attended Southeast Community College, Beatrice, NE and Bee County College and earned a degree in nursing. After a career in nursing, Robin changed careers and worked in accounting for the Jacksonville Police Chief, Value Bank of Texas, Portland ISD accounts payable and Preston Trucking as the supervisor of Accounts Payable . On August 11, 1984, Robin was united in marriage to Randy Kelley at Kingsville, TX. They were blessed with two sons and a daughter. Robin was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and liked working the Bingo Nights. She also enjoyed the Farmers Market. They moved to Hanover in April of 2009. Robin loved hosting family fish fry’s and barbecue’s on the family farm along the Little Blue River. She did sewing, crafting, canning, high tunnel gardening, and looking for antiques, as her favorite pastimes. Preceding her in death were her parents; and brother, Kim Meyn. Robin is survived by her husband, Randy; sons, Daniel Kelley, Pensacola, FL, Travis Kelley, Rockport, TX; daughter, Morgan Soriano, Waukegan, IL; brothers, Steve Meyn, Alexandria, NE, Timmy Meyn, Savanah, GA, Tommy Meyn, Fairbury, NE; sisters, Cindy Waddington, Hanover, Linda Taras, Odell, NE; and three grandchildren, George, Robin and Reily. A memorial fund is established in her name and will be designated later by the family. Contributions may be sent in care of Hanover Mortuary.
