Kathryn Mary Frahm, 97, Hanover, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2008, at the Hanover Hospital. A funeral service was at 1:30 p.m., Monday, September 29, at Zion Lutheran Church, Hanover. The Rev. Jill Rettig officiated. Mae Nieman played the organist while David Heuer sang “He Touched Me.” The congregation sang “Amazing Grace.” Burial was in the Hanover City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Greg Frahm, Brooks Frahm, Joel Shepherd, Doug Frahm, Galen Frahm, Willard Rettig and Keith Allerheiligen. Kathryn Frahm was born October 6, 1910, at Douglas, Neb., the daughter of William John and Effie Pearl (Holoman) Smith. She graduated from Douglas High School in 1926 and from Cotner College, Lincoln, in 1930. On March 16, 1935 she married Carl John Frahm at Bonner Springs. She was a member of the Barnes United Methodist Church. Survivors include her children, Robert L. Frahm, Wichita, and Jeanette McGrann, Scottsdale, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brothers, Paul, Allan and John; and daughter, Kathryn Shepherd.
