Doris Jean Allerheiligen

Doris Jean Allerheiligen, 91, Marysville, KS, died Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. Visitation is Thursday, December 18, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, December 19, at the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Marysville. Rev. Marilyn Sweet will officiate. Carol O’Neal will play the organ while Wayne Kruse sings “Abide With Me”, “Just As I Am”, “In the Garden” and “Softly & Tenderly”. The pallbearers will be Richard D. Allerheiligen, Gregory Betterton, Richard Mullen, Norman Severns, Steve Cohorst and Larry Plegge. Burial will be in the Marysville City Cemetery. Doris was born April 26, 1923 at Seneca to Ralph and Reba (Paxston) Clowe. She graduated from Marysville High School in 1941. Doris worked for the A&B Drug Store in Marysville and was deputy Marshall County Treasurer in charge of the motor vehicle department. She was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church where she served twenty five years as financial secretary. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary where she worked on membership and volunteered for the American Legion. Doris loved being with family and traveling. On May 12, 1946, Doris married Robert S. Kirkpatrick. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1967. On July 6, 1968, she married Walter LaVern Allerheiligen. He survives. Other survivors include her sister, Janice Cadwell. Lincoln, NE; sister-in-law, Joan Clowe, Marysville; granddaughter, Kristi (Mike) Pierson, Derby, KS; seven nieces and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert S. Kirkpatrick, Jr.; sisters, Donna Howard and Ivahlou Witzenburg; and brothers, Ivel C. Clowe and Ross P. Clowe. A memorial fund has been established to the Memorial Presbyterian Church. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
