Olga Heuer

July 11, 1919 — November 19, 2008

Olga Marie Johanna Frieda Heuer, 89, of Hanover, KS, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at the Hanover Hospital. A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 23, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hanover. The Rev. Rodney Fritz officiated. Arlyce Klipp played the organ while soloist David Heuer sang "How Great Thou Art". The choir sang "What a Friend We Have In Jesus" and the congregation sang "Beautiful Savior". Pallbearers were Jay Gilliland, Dustin Heuer, Wayne Kruse, Andy Leseberg, Andy Licht and Allen Steinfort. Burial was in the church cemetery. Olga was born July 11, 1919 near Hanover, the daughter of Frederick and Marie (Wasserman) Kruse. She attended Trinity Lutheran School. On April 6, 1953, she married Norbert Heuer at the Trinity Lutheran Church. She help him farm north of Hanover. In the late 1950's they moved into Hanover where she worked at Schwartz's Shopping Center and the Hanover Locker. She also babysat for her grandchildren and many children in the community. Olga enjoyed crocheting and crosswords. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Marie Meyer, Martha Meyer, Erna Licht, Ruth Heuer and Elnora Heuer. Survivors include husband, Norbert Heuer of Hanover; one daughter, Marcia Riekenberg and husband Ryan of Hanover; two grandchildren, Travis and Wendy Riekenberg of Hanover; one sister, Lorina Leseberg of Hanover; and two brother-in-laws, Victor Heuer of Hanover, and Edwin Leseberg of Wymore, NE. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated at a later date. Contributions may be sent in care of the Hanover Mortuary.
