Mildred R. Jones, 102, of Frankfort, KS, died Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Frankfort Community Care Home. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 5, at the Frankfort United Methodist Church. Visitation was one hour prior to service time. Rev. Michael McKee officiated. Janet Plegge played the organ while Steve Gleason sang "Rock of Ages" and "In the Garden". The congregation sang "How Great Thou Art". The pallbearers were Mike Roberts, Lance Roberts, Steve Hibberts, Rahim Taflati, Chet Fincham and Gary Musil. The honorary pallbearers were Joe Parthemer, Jerry Parthemer, Don Parthemer, Hank Sisk and John Cline. Burial was in the Vermillion Cemetery. Mildred was born February 13, 1913 near White Cloud, KS, to Abraham and Lavinia (Christian) Troxell. She attended school in White Cloud and spent much of her early adult life near Sabetha and Frankfort. On February 18, 1931, Mildred was united in marriage to Mark E. Roberts. They farmed west of Frankfort. Mark preceded her in death on May 31, 1974. She sold the farm and moved to Frankfort where she was active in the United Methodist Church and several Social Clubs. On March 18, 1978, Mildred married William (Bill) Jones and continued living in Frankfort. Bill preceded her in death August 13, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents; six sisters; and four brothers. Survivors include her children, Linda S. Roberts Hibberts, Meriden, KS, and Dennis M. (Donna) Roberts, Benton, KS; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial fund has been established to the Frankfort United Methodist Church or the Frankfort Community Care Home. Contributions may be sent in care of Padden Funeral Chapel.
