Anthony R. Wells, 19, of Marysville, KS, died early Saturday, January 31, 2009. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Marysville Christian Fellowship. The Rev. Rick Glowacki, Rev. Mark Nelsen and Rev. Matt Francis officiated. Musicians were Rev. Mark & Jessica Nelsen and Emily Spunaugle. The music included "You Never Let Go", "What a Day That Will Be" and "Great Is Thy Faithfulness". Pallbearers were Dustin Graf, Jared Strunk, Ben Gordon, Skyler Tjaden, Jake Winkler, Levi Pinnick and Devin Seematter. Honorary pallbearers were Claude Scheibe, Hoss Simmet and Kenneth Scheibe. Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery. Anthony was born November 17, 1989 at Marysville, the son of Chuck and Kelli (Stilwell) Wells. He graduated from Marysville High School in 2008 where he enjoyed playing football and tennis. Anthony was active in the Marysville Christian Fellowship Youth Group and he enjoyed playing paintball and hunting. He also enjoyed going and driving demo derby with his father and close friends. He worked for Blumer Construction in Marysville. Survivors include his parents, Chuck and Kelli Wells of Marysville; one brother, Alex Wells of Marysville; grandparents, Charles and Carol Wells of Marysville, and Joe Stilwell of Seneca, KS; great-grandmother, Betty McGuire of Marysville; and great-grandfather, Leonard Rains of Wichita, KS. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joyce Stilwell. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated at a later date. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
