Ronald W. White

Ronald W. White, 80, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, died Wednesday, July 15 at Bentonville, Arkansas. A funeral service was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 18 at the United Methodist Church in Axtell, Kansas. Rev. Chris White officiated. Music included “In the Chamber” by Rev. Patricia Maxwell, “Amazing Grace” and “In the Garden” by Rusty White. The pallbearers were J.D. White, Billy Sharp, Rusty White, Calen White, Randy Davenport, and Reese White. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Axtell. Ronald was born on July 27, 1934, at Pawnee City, Nebraska, to John Henry and Isabel (Cunningham Van Lew) White. They resided in Axtell. In 1950, he moved with his parents to Kansas City, Missouri, where he attended Central High School and graduated in 1952. He met Patsy Ruth Dorrell while singing in the First Assembly of God Church Choir in Kansas City. They were married on March 9, 1956, and spent an incredible 59 years together. Ron held the position of sales manager for Duff Norton Company for 26 years and was rated as the “Top Sales Manager of the Year” for several years including “Top Sales Manager” worldwide when the company branched out overseas. He was known as “Daddy” to his wife, “Dad” to his sons, “Grandpa” to his 5 grandchildren, and “Pops” to his 6 great-grandchildren. Ron was devoted to his church and was committed to the Lord. He served as an elder, bible study teacher, Sunday school teacher, and ordained Minister with City of Light and Life Ministries. Survivors include his wife, Patsy; sons, Ronald “Rusty” White, Jr., Stafford, VA, and Christopher White, Columbus, Kansas; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
