Edith Mae Naaf, 94, died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Frankfort Community Care Home, Frankfort. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., Tuesday, August 18 at Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service is 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 19, at the Evangelical United Church of Christ, Marysville, with Rev. Judy Scott officiating. Pallbearers are Jeffrey Naaf, Chris Burger, Matthew Burger, David Burger, Jon Naaf, Joel Naaf, Zachary Burger and Jesse Naaf. Honorary pallbearers are Janel LaMonica, Amy Beeman, Jenifer Ashford and Meghan Naaf. Burial is in the Marysville City Cemetery. Mae was born at Home, KS on May 8, 1921 to Rudolph and Anna (Keller) Breunsbach. She graduated Marysville High School in 1938. Mae taught country school and worked for JC Penney. She was married on April 30, 1941 to Irvin Naaf. She was a charter member of EHDU Mission Creek Homemaker Demonstration Unit, holding several offices. Mae was a 4-H Leader for Balderson Boosters, member of RSVP, Church Guild and a library volunteer. She loved reading, working crossword puzzles, traveling, flowers and gardening. Mae was a quilter, master knitter and taught knitting classes. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; sister, Alice Naaf; and grandson, Matthew Naaf. She is survived by sons, Allen (Ruth) Naaf, Summerfield, Douglas (Marian) Naaf, Redwood City, CA; daughter, Phyllis (Richard) Burger, Axtell; brother, Daniel Breunsbach, Tulsa, OK; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren. A memorial fund is established in her name and will be designated later by the family. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
