Patricia L. Zirger

Patricia Leona Zirger, 82, of Lawrence, KS, and formerly of Marysville, KS, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the Good Shepherd Hospice Care in Manhattan, KS. Visitation was Sunday, October 11, from noon until 5 p.m. at Padden Funeral Chapel in Frankfort. A rosary service was held at 7 p.m., Sunday, at Annunciation Catholic Church in Frankfort. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m., Monday, October 12, at Annunciation Catholic Church. Burial was in the Holton City Cemetery, Holton, KS. Patricia was born May 26, 1933, at Seneca, KS, to Lawrence Patrick and Leona Elisabeth (Waller) Becker. She attended schools at Seneca. She married Merle Zirger in 1950 and they were married for almost fifty years. She lived in Marysville from 1959 to 1977. In 1977, she moved to Lawrence. Patricia worked for Coca-Cola in Lawrence until her retirement. She enjoyed painting, arts and crafts and sewing, Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Merle; siblings, Karen, Dorothy, Elwin, Louis, Ivan, Larry, and Emmett; and grandson, Joshua. Survivors include her children, Craig (Cathy) Zirger, Frankfort; Cheri Zirger, Lawrence, and Renee (Thomas) Evans, Blue Springs, MO; siblings, Felicia Kass, Dallas, TX, and Leo (Darlene) Becker, Seneca; five grandchildren, Daniel Zirger, Rebecca Zirger, Elizabeth Helmerichs, Jacob Evans, and Madeline Evans.
