Ella Mae “Ellie” Jueneman, 76, of Hanover, KS, died Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Hanover Long Term Care. Visitation was Sunday, October 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hanover Mortuary. A rosary service was held at 7 p.m., Sunday, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hanover. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 19 at St. John’s Catholic Church. Father David Metz officiated. Janet Fritschi played the organ while the choir and Toby Bruna sang. Music included “Amazing Grace”, “Jerusalem, My Destiny”, “On Eagles Wings”, “Angels Among Us”, and “How Great Thou Art”. The pallbearers were Trevor Jueneman, Devin Jueneman, Kevin Frerichs, Coby Sedlacek, Chris Nicholas, Tyler Bruna, and Paul Byers. Burial was in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. Ellie was born on June 2, 1939 at Washington, KS, to Dean and Doris (Simnitt) Wanamaker. She graduated from Washington High School and later Crum’s Beauty College in Manhattan, KS. On August 20, 1958, she was united in marriage to Leo Jueneman. To this union three children were born. Ellie began her career in hair design with a beauty shop in her home and later moved Ellie’s Beauty Salon to a location on Main Street in Hanover. Ellie enjoyed many hobbies including oil painting, cake decorating, and tending the many flowers and plants that she loved. She enjoyed having fun with her grandchildren and visiting with friends and family. Ellie was a member of the Unique Ingenuer’s Club and St. John’s Altar Society. Survivors include husband, Leo; daughter, Dawn Hill and fiancé Norbert Harms, Beatrice, NE; two sons, Todd (Debbie) Jueneman, and Scott (Julie) Jueneman, all of Hanover; nine grandchildren, Heather (Chris) Nicholas, Krista (Coby) Sedlacek, Lacey (Paul) Byers, Cami (Tyler) Bruna, Shelby, Jordan, Lindsey, Trevor and Devin Jueneman; and ten great-grandchildren, Brenner, Brayden, Brysen, Brody, Ryder, Paxton, Emmett, Waylon, Parker and Walker. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Paul Wanamaker and Larry Wanamaker. A memorial fund has been established to Hanover Long Term Care or St. John’s Catholic Church.
